The type of catering for your party will really depend on the type of occasion you are planning. If you are organising a big budget wedding then the hotel or country club that will play venue for your grand event will have a variety of set menus and buffet options from which to choose. However brace yourself and take a deep breath before you take a look at the bill.

If you are working to a more modest budget then we feel catering is somewhere savings can usually be made.

With a self service buffet its important there is plenty, but as most people will eat before going to a evening party they will only graze the odd snack. For this reason at every party we perform at there is always stacks of food left on the buffet table at the end of the party, and this often ends up in the bin. You could cut back on the extras and no one would ever know.

If you want some posh nosh at your party and you've hired in outside caterers there's nothing to say you cant supplement the buffet table with some home made or shop bought bits and pieces. This way everyone is impressed by the caterers canapes and tasty hor dourves but gets filled up on the cheese sandwich and sausage rolls you made earlier.
